40th Annual Bike-A-Thon [6/07/27]
The Bike-A-Thon is our biggest annual fundraiser, bringing together the entire Bikes Not Bombs community together for a day filled with riding, celebrating, and community.
For our 40th Bike-A-Thon, we want to celebrate with 400 riders! Will you join us?
Choose one of our three scenic routes, enjoy a supported ride alongside friends and family, and finish your ride with a community oriented after party! We’ll have DJ’s, live music, food, artists, games, prizes, and more!
Registration is now open and free until December 31st, 2026. After that, registration fees will be $30 per adult and $15 per youth aged 12 to 18. Go online and sign up to ride today!
Routes:
- Emerald Necklace: a family and beginner friendly 8 mile loop through Boston’s beautiful green spaces. This route prioritizes off-road bike paths and stays together as a group, with dedicated route support to keep everyone safe & comfortable.
- Ride to the West(on): our 25 mile route to Weston & back, traces the Charles river through Needham. Enjoy a riverside rest stop at the halfway point in Wellesley Lower Falls before riding back to JP through Newton & Brookline.
- Trip to the Farm: this 50 mile route highlights the scenic rolling hills, woodlands, and fields of the MetroWest. There will be two supported rest stops, one in Wellesley, and one at the Food Project’s Baker Bridge Farm in Lincoln.
Fundraising:
When you ride with us in the Bike-A-Thon, you’re not just making memories — your fundraising efforts are directly supporting our local and global work. Our goal is to raise $200,000 to support our mission. In order to help us reach that goal:
- Adult riders (18 & up) must raise at least $300
- Youth (under 18) are not required to fundraise
Please refer to our main Bike-A-Thon webpage for all event details, including registration, route, and arrival time details. We look forward to riding with you!
