We need another 95 helmets to reach our goal of 100 helmets for the Nevis Island Earn-A-Bike youth programs started by Bikes Not Bombs one year ago. The program is doing very well: the workshop space is now booked up in schedule to be shared by seven different communities on this Caribbean Island (federated with St. Kitts in the Virgin Islands, Nevis first came to fame as a slave plantation island, supplying 40% of the British Empire's entire sugar production in the 1700's). The project is transforming bike culture on the island, with small offshoot workshops springing up and there is now interest from St. Kitts in getting their own Bikes Not Bombs workshop!
