How does BNB take in over 5,000 donated bikes a year? Many people bring them in individually, but thousands of these bikes would never make it here if it wasn't for the suburban bike drives under the direction of Steve Bosco (our volunteer Bike Donations Coordinator). Steve needs help! You can be part of this amazing effort, transforming this waste stream of bikes into tools of empowerment and environmentally-positive transportation for thousands of people in Africa, Central America, and Boston.

We need helpers to each sign up for a one-day bike drive, then ride out with Steve in the big Bikes Not Bombs box truck, staff the collection, talk to all the interested folks who want to give their old bike a new life, flatten the bikes with some tools, and load them up. (BNB provides a stipend for your lunch, and we'll express our gratitude with a BNB t-shirt of your choice for all bike drive volunteers.)
